How You Manage Your Personal Information

In the countries/regions where BladePipe provides products and services, the legislation of some countries/regions stipulates the rights of personal data owners such as access, correction, deletion, and restriction of processing of personal information. In accordance with the requirements of local laws, the personal data owner or its agent may submit a request to BladePipe to exercise the above rights of personal data owners (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Request").

How to Make the Request

Personal data owner's requests must be made in writing. A request is valid even if the requester does not state the statute on which the request is based. Generally, an oral request for a visit is void, and BladePipe will comply with such provisions if the legislation of the local country also recognizes the validity of the oral request.

Personal data owner's requests can be submitted by contacting us, which is designed to protect the legitimate interests of personal data owners and protect the normal operation of BladePipe, and prevent the right to request personal information from being stolen or abused by others.

Validity of the Request

Most laws require personal data owners to comply with specific requirements when making requests. This policy requires personal data owners to do the following:

  • Provide BladePipe with sufficient information to verify their identity (to ensure that the person making the request is the owner of the personal information or a person authorized by the personal data owner);
  • The content of the request is specific and enforceable.

The Processing Period of the Request

BladePipe makes every effort to ensure that a response is made within one month after the personal data owner's request is submitted, and this period may be extended appropriately if necessary, given the complexity and volume of the request.

In the case of delay in providing information, BladePipe will notify the personal data owner of the relevant circumstances and the reason for the delay. In the event of a conflict between the time limits set forth in this paragraph and local legal provisions, local legal provisions shall prevail.

The Result of the Request

After the personal data owner's requests are made, the following outcomes may occur:

  1. The request is rejected

    In some cases, the personal data owner's request may be rejected, including but not limited to:

    • When local laws do not give the owner of personal information relevant rights;
    • When the identity of the person making the request cannot be verified;
    • When the request submitted by the personal data owner cannot be verified or exceeds the scope, especially when the request is repeatedly submitted;
    • If the information involved relates to compensation to be made or received by BladePipe in the dispute, and disclosure of the information is likely to harm BladePipe's interests;
    • If the information is retained only for statistical and research purposes and the publication of statistical and research results does not disclose the identity of the individual;
    • Other circumstances stipulated by law.

    If BladePipe rejects the personal data owner's request, it will formally explain the reason to the him/her.

  2. The request succeeds

    When the circumstances in 1 do not occur, BladePipe will fulfill the request of the personal data owner. In order to increase the likelihood of a successful request, please provide as much detailed information as possible at the time of request, such as the type and specific content of the request, information about the data holder (such as the name of the BladePipe product and service you are using), the time frame in which the information was generated or processed (the smaller the time frame, the greater the likelihood of success), etc.

Special Notice

  • Most laws and regulations specify the circumstances under which organizations may not provide data to personal data owners. • Repeated requests – If a person makes the same or similar request for the same personal data owner, the data has not changed in the past period, and BladePipe has provided the data, BladePipe will generally not provide a copy of the data. In addition, BladePipe is not obligated to provide information that has been made public.
    • Opinions given under confidentiality conditions – BladePipe is under no obligation to provide the owner's personal information if it is given under confidentiality conditions.
    • Special files – Any special information retained by BladePipe is not disclosed in response to the personal data owner's request. In general, special information includes any confidential documents (e.g. direct communication between the client and his lawyers) as well as information for the purpose of obtaining or giving a corresponding legal opinion (whether in the course of the proceedings themselves or in the course of court proceedings).

We have no intention to, and will not knowingly collect personal information from children who are under the age of 18 (or the age stipulated in local laws, whichever is younger).
